Vera’s work is centered on the platform, the world’s leading cloud application development platform. Vera is a growing organization, with 60 full-time staff based in offices around the world, including Washington DC, Cape Town, Mumbai, and Geneva. Vera opened its office in São Paulo in August 2018 and is now looking for a person to join our current team of six consultants to give more capacity to deliver projects, building systems for Brazilian, Latin American and North American social impact organizations.

Position Overview

The Salesforce Consulting Intern will work on Vera project teams to configure program monitoring, management, and evaluation systems for clients. You’ll be expected to get your hands dirty from the get-go. Interns are involved in key pieces of project’s lifecycle — building online, offline, and mobile data tools, creating training materials, and supporting system implementation and rollout. A large amount of your work will be technical, involving many aspects of Salesforce configuration, but you will not write code. As a Consulting Intern, you’ll gain valuable experience with Salesforce (the world’s leading cloud-computing platform, currently used by more than 150,000 for-profit and 30,000 non-profit organizations worldwide). You will gain first-hand experience implementing program monitoring, management, and evaluation systems in health, education, human rights, and other development sectors, while working in a global marketplace. You will join our team of passionate humans with diverse backgrounds and experiences, all dedicated to improving the way social impact organizations operate. Primary Responsibilities

  • Build (with clicks, not code) cloud and mobile data systems, mostly on the Salesforce platform, for a range of social service organizations in Brazil, Latin America, and North America (60%)
  • Create training and documentation material for the systems built and train users (20%)
  • Provide input during design sessions lead by the technical team when conceptualizing systems (10%)
  • Research new technologies, methodologies, and tools relevant to social sector organizations (10%)

Qualifications and Experience


  • You are curious and love to solve problems
  • You have strong aptitude for using technology and data
  • You are interested in a socially equal and environmentally balanced society
  • You are a good communicator and easily relate with people
  • You are interested in working in a small, dynamic team
  • You must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and Humanities, Information Systems or related programs
  • You must have completed at least 4 semesters of Technical or Bachelor’s education
  • You must have an advanced level of English and Portuguese
